We would like to introduce you to our newest family member, Benny. He is our mini-dachshund that we adopted last week. He is a cute little guy at only 12 lbs. Vero says that "Ian is just in heaven with this little guy." He insists on sitting on your lap. If you tell him no, he jumps right back up and trys again. We've given up on enforcing our no-pets-on-furniture policy. Actually, Benny is allowed if he is on our lap, but Samson is banned since his long black hair sheds so much.
Here is our other doggie named Samson. He is half Cocker-Spaniel, half Dachshund. We adopted both of them from families who could no longer care for them.Their favorite activity is chasing squirrels in the cemetary near our house. Its difficult keeping up with them, especially when I am also pushing Isabella in the stroller.
This last weekend, they were given vaccine shots and are now officially licensed with the city of Spokane. Benny didn't even flinch when poked with a needle, but Samson freaked out, jumping out of the vet's arms and hiding underneath a chair.
They are getting along well and share the same doggie bed at night. They are both great with Isabella and don't bother her at all. They fit right in with the Hyvonen family and are happy to have such loving owners.
